Services Offered
My priority is to offer you support whatever your personal circumstances. Sessions are 50 minutes. I can offer them via Skype, Zoom, FaceTime, WhatsApp and face to face. Below is what each service involves in practice, not just in theory.
Counselling & Therapy
A safe and confidential space to explore your feelings and thoughts. I work integratively, drawing on CBT, psychodynamic, and solution-focused approaches to meet your needs.
In a session, we might
- Talk about what brought you here and how it affects day-to-day life
- Map out links between situations, thoughts, feelings and reactions
- Try CBT tools such as thought records, breathing exercises or behavioural experiments
- Explore past experiences or relationship patterns when that feels useful
- Agree small things to try between sessions, such as noticing triggers or practising a coping skill
Coaching
A practical partnership to explore your goals and ambitions. Whether moving forward in your career, starting a new venture, or achieving a personal goal, you set the direction.
In a session, we might
- Agree what you want to focus on in that session
- Review progress on actions from last time and what got in the way
- Ask questions to help you see options and next steps clearly
- Break a big goal into smaller steps with realistic deadlines
- Leave with one or two concrete actions to try before we meet again
Wellbeing Coaching
A holistic approach to creating a healthier mindset and practices for mind, body, and spirit. You choose your goals and we work together with regular check-ins.
In a session, we might
- Look at sleep, food, movement, rest and what drains or restores you
- Track moods or habits for a week so we can spot patterns together
- Try simple routines, such as a morning check-in or wind-down before bed
- Set one small, realistic change rather than overhauling everything at once
- Check in on how that change went and adjust the plan if needed
Professional Supervision
Qualified supervision for counsellors and therapeutic professionals, with a special interest in those working with young people and young adults.
In a session, we might
- Discuss anonymised client work, ethical dilemmas or cases that feel stuck
- Reflect on how clients affect you and how you're looking after yourself
- Review boundaries, safeguarding and whether clients are getting safe, effective care
- Explore skills or theory relevant to your current caseload
- Identify practical next steps for your practice, not just what went well
Young People (14–18)
Supporting young people with their mental health and wellbeing. Extensive experience as a youth counsellor online, in the community, and in schools.
In a session, we might
- Talk about school, home, friendships or whatever matters that week
- Use talking, writing or drawing, depending on what feels comfortable
- Work at your pace with no pressure to share more than you want to
- Explain confidentiality and when I would need to involve a parent or another adult
- Agree small coping strategies to try between sessions when that feels right
Professional Mentoring
Ideal for teachers wanting to better understand the mental health needs of students, or professionals seeking mentoring. Individual or groups of 1–4.
In a session, we might
- Bring a real situation from school or work and think through options together
- Discuss how anxiety, trauma or low mood might show up in young people
- Role-play a difficult conversation with a student, parent or colleague
- Share practical strategies and learn from others' experience in group sessions
- Leave with ideas you can try straight away in your role
